TyKu inspires Global Cooling

It was the quenching chill of TyKu Asian Citrus Liqueur that inspired the latest, and first certified Outrageous Cocktail Global Cooling, using this unique spirit that has the coolest package, and the planet’s first illuminating bottle. TyKu recently added the State of Florida to a distribution network that began in a select few markets that previously was limited to Las Vegas and New York.
Besides a bottle that lights up every time bartenders grab it off the back bar, the product is a light and flavorful spirit that can be chilled alone or as an interesting flavor enhancer in your shaker tin. The light jade color, is a result of the juice of Asian fruits like yuzu and goji berry, along with hints of melon and citrus blended balanced with European botanicals to create this latest addition to our Outrageous Cocktails ‘Beverage Underground’ portfolio.
TyKu was a combined effort to create a new category of spirit and after years of pairing the selected ingredients with the purest waters used in the making of the finest sake, a Japanese brew master, a European flavor expert, and American design team introduced this product that is sure to be both an attractive and popular addition at a variety of restaurants and bars. Certainly it will make its way to every Asian account, but TyKu responded well when mixed with a variety of spirits from several categories. The Global Cooling cocktail unites the smooth infused flavor of Brinley’s Gold Lime Rum from St. Kitts to create an enhanced lift to the soft and subtle TyKu. Bartenders chosen to sample TyKu certainly liked both the taste and finish, but also realized the value of having the unique tall triangular bottle on the back bar as one that would start conversation and generate sales and spawn creativity.
TyKu is available from Southern Wine & Spirits in Florida, and Global Cooling is available at BluSushi locations throughout Southwest Florida.

Caipirinhas and Cachaca helps Bring Carnival to America
The fact is that the entire country of Brazil would like Americans to stop their long running affair with Margarita. Over the past thirty years, the increased popularity and price of tequila has changed the way the spirits industry looks at individual cocktails and their effect on an entire category. Most recently the rejuvenated sales of white rum with the emergence the Classic Cuban Mojito as one of the most popular 'new' choice of the cocktail circuit has convinced importers, distributors and yes, even the Brazilian government that we should look at changing the way we get happy at happy hour. If Americans give Cachaca the same warm welcome it gave Tequila with the Margarita in the 70's and 80's you see brands like Cachaca 61 and Boca Loca in the speed rack...
